PANAJI: The daily count of Covid-19 infection rose 152 on Friday, the highest was seen in almost two weeks.
The level of participants also rose to 3.5%, the highest since July 14.
The active case of the state rose from 1,077 to 1,093 on Thursday.
Friday saw two Covid deaths – a 53-year-old man from Sakhali was declared dead by a public health center six days after he tested positive, and a 64-year-old man from Morjim with diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, died after six days of care in Goa Medical College (GMC).
He tested positive for Covid on June 23.
While 19 people were hospitalized, 133 chose to insulate a house during the day.
15 others were repatriated and 134 recovery was reported.
