Noida / Ghaziabad: With 162 cases this month, Gautam Budh Nagar has recorded the maximum number of Covid cases in the state in December so far.
It was followed by Lucknow with 144 cases and Ghaziabad with 107 cases in the appropriate period.
On Wednesday, GB Nagar recorded 21 new cases while Ghaziabad added 12 new infections.
All patients, said GB Nagar officials, are local residents and in house isolation.
So far, this district has received a list of 10,530 people who have just returned from abroad.
From them, 672 has been tested so far, officials said, adding that only those who had returned from risky countries were being tested today.
So far, eight people who have returned from abroad have been tested positive in the district.
In Ghaziabad, among 12 new patients, three are members of the same family and others have a history of travel.
The district has 73 active cases, where five patients are under institutional quarantine.
According to health officials, this district has received a list of 7,245 people who have returned from abroad.
Of those 1,588 have been tested and eight found positively so far.
