Hyderabad: Even when the novel Coronavirus Pandemi began to spread his tentacles in Telangana in March 2020, a dedicated medical team at the State Managed Gandhi Hospital ensured that 1,800 pregnant women were positive Covid gave birth to babies.
With only 35 pregnant women infected with Covid-19 are currently hospitalized, officials sigh of relief because all women are fine.
“The majority of them do not have other health problems.
We have around 50 beds for Covid-19 pregnant women and there are five gynecological units dedicated to them,” said Dr Raja Rao, Superintendent Hospital Gandhi, told TOI.
“We are proud to be able to say it will be a record in this country among government hospitals that we manage to keep most of their babies and mothers safely,” he added.
During the first and second waves, 1,623 shipping was carried out safely in hospitals without complications.
Of all shipping, only 700 is C-section.
Hospitals have prepared a separate workspace and pediatric units for women and teams consisting of five professors overseeing pregnancy and procedures.
A larger team consists of 100 nursing staff and assistants who work three shifts a day, 30 women’s population, three professor associates, 12 assistant professors and about 30 PG doctors.
