Noida: At 1.585, Gautam Budh Nagar has seen the highest number of cyber in the state in 2020, when the majority of people are limited to homes because locking shifts to online transactions to order anything from food.

Of the 1,585 cases of online fraud nesting in Noida, 803 is a computer-related violation, 307 submitted under Section 66 of the IT law (sending very offensive messages), 51 cases of ransomware and 371 attacks are forgery.
Similarly, there are 288 cases of cheating through the online platform.
Many cyber fraud victims have told the Toi that the most difficult part was to register complaints and pursue cases with the police.
While fraud uses OTP-based transactions – where victims are captivated to share passwords one time – is one of the most common methods, data 2020 does not have one case under this category in Noida.
There are no cases related to data theft too.
A total of 25 cases are registered for online banking fraud and 19 related to debit / credit cards.
Additional DCP (middle noida) ankur aggarwal, which is also responsible for cyber cells in Nidal, told TOI that many of these cases have been included in other categories.
“Usually, kasings are filed in categories such as online banking fraud, fraud through credit cards, etc.,” he added.

Police Commissioner GB Nagar has asked permission from the top police headquarters to increase cyber cell capacity.
The commissioner is believed to have proposed that around 150 police were included in cyber cells along with ACP level officers.
With the absence of senior officers, complaints nested with cyber cells are usually referred to the local police station, said the source.
