Jaipur: Park Bani, Vaishali Nagar, Sodala, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Adarsh Nagar, Malviya Nagar and Mansarovar are some of the areas here which continue to report Covid sporadic cases in the middle of the infection in the middle.
On Sunday, the city reported nine cases with two cases each reported from the Bani Park, training school officers, Vaishali Nagar and Vidhyadhar Nagar and one from Sodala.
“There are no students among nine people tested positive in the city today,” said Dr.
Narrettam Sharma, Head of Medical Health Officer (Jaipur-I).
The official said contacts were being carried out from all those who tested positively to identify early cases to prevent the spread of the virus.
In November (up to 21), the city reported 100 cases, while in October the city reported only 45 cases.
The Ministry of Health has noticed the increasing trend of cases in the city and thus taking steps to prevent the spread of the virus.
Eighteen people tested positive for Covid in the state on Sunday took the overall calculation to 9,54,606.
There are no deaths reported.
The state toll stand at 8,955.
Active cases increased at a fast speed, which now stands at 119, up from 32 on 32 November.
The active case in Jaipur has increased to 65, while in Ajmer 28 active cases are undergoing a virus.
Among the 18 people were tested positive for viruses, nine reported from Jaipur, five of the Ajmer, each of Alwar and Jaisalmer.
Although the country has witnessed a marginal leap in active cases, there are still 22 districts that do not even have one active case.
A health department official said people need to take precautions and follow the appropriate behavior of Covid.
The number of samples collected on Sundays was 17,996 samples and 18 were tested positive.
In Jaipur, the Ministry of Health is targeting to increase it to 5,000 samples every day.
