Ghaziabad: The number of cases of dengue fever has increased to 23 in Ghaziabad in the last 48 hours.
The Ministry of Health also confirms two cases of malaria in the same period.
Until Friday, there were five cases of dengue fever and six malaria patients were confirmed by the Ministry of Health.
While a 11-month-old child was received with malaria to the district female hospital, this case had not been added to the count count.
Of the 23 dengue cases, one patient came from Shikohabad (Firozabad), which was the worst infected in the West.
More than 70 deaths because viral fever has been reported from Firozbabad so far.
Shikohabad patients underwent treatment at a private hospital in Ghaziabad.
A similar situation is being witnessed in other districts in Western.
In Meerut, around 10 cases of dengue fever have been confirmed while hundreds of cases of fever were reported at the district hospital every day since the last week of August.
In Mathura, around 25 dengue cases have been confirmed, while five cases have been reported in Agra.
While Noida has not confirmed the case of dengue fever, it has reported 23 malaria cases this year.
Ghaziabad District Supervision Officer, Dr.
RK Gupta said, “To handle increased cases, dengue and malaria wards have been created at the MMG District Hospital and a joint-district hospital.
