Vadodara: Dengue Surge continues in the city with around 40 cases reported every day since the last few days.
The total number of cases of dengue fever in the city is close to 900 so far.
Dengue began to sting the city in June when the city received its first rain.
“Usually, rain in the city in July and end now.
This time it starts to rain in June and is still raining.
Dengue cases are usually reported to one or 1.5 months after the rain stops,” said the VMC (health) medical officer, Devesh Patel.
According to officials at Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC), this extended the dengue season.
Patel said that major obstacles in controlling diseases were cooperation from people.
“In some houses, people don’t let our workers enter their homes.
They say that they will take care of everything alone, but this doesn’t happen,” Patel said.
The source said that dengue fever may still peak and maybe time even before the numbers began to fall again.
Along with the cases of Dengue Chikungunya reported in the city.
