New Delhi: Junking Three-month-old Drone Policy After industrial complaints over a number of approval and permits, the government has come out with a series of radical-liberalized design designs that pave the way for taxi drones and special corridors for cargo delivery.
Given the unlimited potential of drones waiting to be tapped, PMO recently reviewed the rules of unmanned aircraft (UAS rules) which began to apply this parade.
Now, the airline has been searching for public comments on “Drone Rules, 2021” which are far simple to August 5 after considering comments, the last rules are expected to be issued which will replace the rules of more stringent UAS rules.
Come after the Jammu airport drone attack, this change shows that while the government takes steps to fight evil drones, he is willing to allow technology to achieve its potential.
The Minister of Aviation Union Jyotiraditya Scindia said the draft drone rule 2021 would provide “the main Fillip for the drone industry …
(and) mark a clear shift from the previous UAS rules …” Scindia said the main features of the proposed new rules are: “some Approval is abolished and the process becomes easier; The number of forms decreases from 25 to 5; No security permission is needed before registration or issuance of license; the process is easy to transfer and de-registration drone.
There is no pilot license needed for nano drones (weighing up to 250 grams), micro drones (weighing up to 2kg) for non-commercial use …
“The change has risen the industry.
Arjun Aggarwal, MD Drone Major Aeroarc, said the change would “provide encouragement to ‘Aatmanirbhar’ Drone Eco-System”.
Shows the design of the new rules as “a paradigm shift from the UAS-intensive rule of the document from March 21 (it) allows approval faster and without paper, increased traction by foreign OEMs, a single window interface …
which is synchronized with drone speed – speed, safety, safety Economy and reliability.
“Scindia tweeted:” Drone brings the next major technology revolution throughout the world by reducing costs, resources, and time taken for surgery.
Is to us to ride new waves and facilitate the absorption, especially between our startups.
” The cost of using drones will also be cut sharply.
Also, now there will be no restrictions on drone operations by foreign-owned companies registered in India.
The maximum sentence below the new rules will be limited to RS 1 Lakh (not including punishment for violating other laws).
The rules for attacking balance in simplifying their use by ensuring “they do not pose a risk for community safety or security and assets”.
The proposed rules will discuss drones weighing up to 500 kg, instead of 300 kg before, and covering the taxi drone too.
And the drone corridor will be developed for shipping cargo.
The draft drone rules “are built on a premise of trust, self certification and non-intrusive monitoring,” said a senior official.
Among the proposed radical changes being eliminated some approval including: obtain unique authorization numbers, unique prototype identification numbers, certificates of conformity, maintenance certificate, import permit, receipt of existing drones, operator permissions, R & D organization authorization, remote pilot licenses, Authorize remote pilot instructor and port drone authorization.
Safety features such as “No permission – Not taking off” (NPNT), real-time tracking and geographical fences will be notified in the future.
The six-month lead time will be provided for compliance.
Under the proposed changed rules, interactive air maps with green zones, yellow and red will be displayed on the SKY digital platform.
The yellow zone is proposed to be reduced from 45km to 12 km from the airport perimeter.
No aviation permission is needed by 400 feet in the green zone and up to 200 feet in an area of between 8 km and 12 km from the airport perimeter.
Under the new rules, the manufacturer can produce a unique identification number of their drones on the SKY digital platform via self-certification route.
The transfer process and Deregistration Drone will be simplified.
