In a crisis, these schools came to help staff

Thiruvananthapuram: Since the advent of online learning after Covid-19, city schools have been on a rough journey.
Worried of the economic crisis, many schools were forced to dismiss their non-teaching staff including father and driver.
But some private schools in the city do their bits to provide their staff who do not teach.
By raising funds from financial assistance provided by banks, schools ensure that staff who do not teach continue to draw their salary.
“During the pandemic, we only depend on the tuition fees of the students.
Consider the financial crisis of our parents also provide concessions.
We must consider our father and driver’s efforts.
Even though their services cannot be used now, many years they work for institutions.
, with costs and loans, we found a way to pay their salaries without fail, “said an official at the School of the Good Shepherd in Akkulam.
The school has a total of 70 employees as a father and driver.
The driver is deployed to send books and other study material to students.
Father was also called to school for routine cleaning twice a week.
Again, school buses and drivers are used to transport it.
The authorities also plan to send library books to students in the near future.
The principal of a private school said the school managed to maintain 10 drivers and nine fathers even after giving cost concessions and reducing the cost of students by 30%.
“Because school buses are not in good condition, we will use the driver of the driver who has an autorickshaws.
Father will come most of the day to be cleaned,” he added.
Jyother Chandran, chairman of the Jyothis school group, said there was no father and driver they had to struggle to make the results of meeting, despite massive cuts at the cost of students.
Their services are used in sorting books and parcelling them to students.
The food kit is provided for those who have contracted Covid-19.
Binu, a driver at a good shepherd school for the past eight years, said he was happy that the school took care of them.
“We know that the school will go through a difficult phase, still they have not shared us.
When our friends tell stories about pain and anxiety losing their jobs, we feel relieved about receiving our salary on time.” School bus driver has been relieved Suicide earlier this year after losing his job.
Nirmala, a father in a private school for the past 23 years said he was grateful to school as workers were not discarded by management.
“Because we are given a salary, we can live a decent life even during pandemic time,” he said.
