Nagpur: Government employees who are not vaccinated are now rushed to complete their covid vaccination while some are still hesitant even though the head of the department has issued their salaries.
Officials from several government offices say their colleagues so far delayed vaccinations are now increasingly being affixed because they become mandatory.
Earlier this month, the R Vimala District collector has asked all government and semi-government departments to hold staff salaries that are not vaccinated while also instructing to stop the entry of people who are not vaccinated in government offices.
Support City Commissioner Ram Joshi said the vaccination certificate would be attached to the employee’s salary sheet.
“Their salaries that are not vaccinated without legitimate reasons will be detained until they take a shot,” he said.
CEO of Zilla Parishad (ZP) Yogesh Kumbhejkar said letters had been issued to verify how many employees were not vaccinated.
“Only those who have medical reasons are justified will be released.
We have around 16 departments and they will independently verify vaccination status,” he said.
Both NMC and ZP have not confirmed the exact number of employees who are not vaccinated.
The government and private vaccination center also has not received requests for special camps.
NMC has done many specific drives for government offices such as the Department of Income Tax and District Court.
This shows not many government employees who will take Jab.
The initiative and strict steps have been taken to achieve a single dose vaccination of all beneficiaries that meet the requirements on November 30.
A government official said some of his colleagues were still hesitant to take a vaccine.
“They avoided Jab by quoting some medical problems.
But now they have to give a strong reason.
Officials also crossed with their doctors.
No doctor will risk releasing a medical certificate for vaccination unless there are several reasons,” the official said.
More than 15K pasted at Har Ghar Dormak Drive The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has been accumulated by more than 15,000 beneficiaries under the drive of Har Ghar Dastak.
