In a letter to PM, the IRS officer detonated the extension for brass

New Delhi: In a rare explosion, “India’s income service officer (IRS) who was very nervous dealing with customs and indirect taxes was written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, condemning extensions and removal back to members of the indirect tax center and customs (CBIC )), Argue that this promotes “personal interests and lobby” which harms professional behavior and prevention of tax evasion “.
A year after the term of office of an extended CBIC member, the association said, some members are expected to get extensions or removal after retirement and proposals are under the “active consideration”.
This argues about extensions for CBIC members and direct tax center councils.
“…
The extension of the term of office outside the Demormal Pension cadres as the entire promotional chain is blocked, it is also when officers who meet sufficiently available for promotion,” said the association, adding that the secretary belonging to IAS was not given an extension.
Sandeep Mohan Bhatnagar, who is currently a member (customs), has received extension last August.
When contacted, the Association of the Indian IRS Association of Customs & Definite Tax Officers President Naresh Penumbaka told the TI the letter was sent after a consultation with 150 office carriers, with the same representation sent to the Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman and the main secretary of PM P.
” is our attraction.
We will observe the government’s orders, but we must ventilate our members’ views, “he said by telephone.
The representation came in the midst of recurrent criticism of the Revenue Service by opposition parties, who accused tax officials to take political motivated attitudes.
Earlier this week, AAP criticized the tax department after notification to Delhi Mla Atishi.
The letter also triggered a conversation between tax officers directly from the IRS.
The wings of the officers for tax officials were immediately almost dead after the government demanded several office carriers to offer unsolicited advice during last year’s national locking, including the procurement of CESS in certain parts.
At present, J B MahapaRa works as the CBDT interim chairman with two predecessors of Sushil Chandra and P C mody getting two extensions each after their retirement.
The government has also raised the G gupta as a member of the CBDT after his retirement.
