Karwar: Agreement in the District Unit Uttara Kannada from Congress appeared on Wednesday when supporters of former RV Minister Deshpande and MLC Ghotnekar clashed at a trivial meeting.
The District Congress Committee has held a meeting on Wednesday at Sirsi to discuss the issue of Panciran Raj.
Prashant Deshpande, RV Deshpande’s son arrived late at the meeting and went to Dais.
He was urged by party leaders in Dais to overcome party workers.
Prashant said he would talk later.
But Ghotnekar, who was on the stage stood up and said he would talk first.
When permitted by Ghotnekar began his speech and said he had no knowledge of the Panchayat Raj system.
He is the selected MLC from local bodies covering Gram Panchayats, Panceshayats and Zilla Panchayat.
Suddenly he changed the topic and began attacking RV Deshpande without named him.
Ghotnekar accused that there were enemies in parties who were not interested in growth.
“This enemy blocks every work done for party growth by expeling people who have joined the Congress from BJP,” he thought.
This angry party worker shouted at Ghotnekar and began raising the slogan for Deshpande.
At these points, Ghotnekar supporters also raised the slogan for their leader.
Senior leaders intered and separate collision groups.
The embarrassing congressional leader said it was an ‘minor’ incident and will be resolved.
