New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reviewing the Covid-19 situation with Tamil Nadu’s main ministers, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha, Kerala and Maharashtra.
It came three days after PM Modi took a stock of Covid-19 situation with the main ministers of the Northeast State.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed concern over the number of Covid-19 cases in several states and said that similar trends were observed in January and February before the second wave of the second pandemic destroyed.

In the past few days, around 80% of new cases came from 6 countries.
* Countries that report high new cases need to take proactive steps to stop the third wave of Covid-19.
We must advance with a focus on the ‘test-track-treat-vaccine’ approach.
* Initially experts assumed that where the second wave came from, the situation would be controlled first.
But cases increase in Maharashtra and Kerala.
This is indeed a serious concern for all of us, for the country.
* Funds are available for all states to make new ICU beds, increase testing capacity and for all other needs.
Recently, the central government has also released an emergency Covid response package of more than 23 thousand crores.
