New Delhi: Indira Gandhi International Airport has introduced e-boarding facilities to ensure “digital travel without contact and without contact” for passengers, the operator said on Monday.
The e-boarding gate has been set in terminal 3 and terminal 2 while the spread is ongoing in terminal 1, said dial.
The source at the airport said five such facilities would function each at T2 and T3 and four in T1 in the coming weeks.

The e-boarding gate without contact is equipped with a card scanner, which allows passengers to flash their physical trajectory or boarding to verify flight details so that they can continue for security checks, calls in a statement.
It adds that passengers who get their boarding pass verified by scanning in e-gates do not need to show their documents again.
There are three different lanes at the e-boarding gate – width, ‘normal’ and double.
The width e-gate is for passengers who carry heavy luggage or those who are reduced by mobility.
Passengers only carry hand baggage can run through the designated e-gates as ‘normal’.
Double options will offer a wide and ‘normal’ lane.
