Hyderabad: With the Ganesha Festival in the corner, the founder of the Green India Challenge (GIC) and Rajya Sabha MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar launched the ‘Ganesha seed’ at the mall on Monday.
The Green India Challenge, which continually increases the bar to make participation in the environmental activities of everyday habits, this time launched the ‘Ganesha Seed’ distributed to visitors to the mall in Hyderabad.
Designed in a very environmentally friendly way, this idol is made of pure mud, cocopeat or coco powder with various seeds that are filled in it.
This idol after doing puja can be placed in the mud or in a large pan where the seeds after several days will begin to grow and grow into small puppies.
Once they have a certain size, they can be planted back to the ground in the apartment complex, backyard or in the park.
Taking a signal of the suggestions provided by the Minister of Chief of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao, to ensure greater tree growth such as acid, Neem for broader environmental and health benefits, this idol is placed with the seeds of these trees.
“With increasing environmental pollution, it is the need for hours to grow many trees, plant puppies and care for them every minute.
We also plan to identify plants with great medicinal and therapeutic values and Ganesha idols will soon have the seeds.

He further urges the public to release chemically painted Ganesha idol which can cause extreme damage to the environment, water pollution and ask everyone to embrace idols made of mud or pure clay.
