Greater Noida: Gurjar leaders threatened to boycott BJP in the election of the State Assembly if the minister of Uttar Pradesh failed to issue an apology for the controversy over a plaque in the statue of the King Mihir BHOJ ninth century.
At the Mahapanchayat held at Dadri’s Mihir Bhoj Pg College on Sunday, leaders claimed that Gurjar’s sentiment was “injured” above the plaque line and they would not celebrate Diwali this year.
More than 200 people from the community attended Mahapachayat who vowed under the banner of Gurjar Swabhiman Sangharsh Samiti.
Ravindra Bhati, National Vice President Akhil Bhartiya Gurjar Parishad, told TII, “We want CM to apologize to the Gurjar community if not, we will boycott BJP in the election of upcoming assembly.
We also want the state government to change the name of the airport noida in Noida After King Mihir Bhoj.
The central government must also add or mention army regiments after Gurjar because some people from the community have put their lives when serving on the border.
“Over the past few weeks, several community leaders have visited various villages to mobilize participation in this program .
However, several leading Gurjar leaders, including Shyam Singh Bhati, President of GB Nagar from Akhil Bharatiya Veer Gurjar Mahasabha, moved away from this program.
Shyam Singh was recently booked for allegedly smearing black paint in the name of CM on the Mihir BHOJ statue plaque on September 28.
Meanwhile, heavy strength was deployed on the college foundation to maintain the legal and order situation in Mahapanchayat’s view, Pradeep Tripathi, Station House Officer Police Office Dadri, said, adding that the department has allowed 200 people to gather for the event.
On Saturday, the Letter of Principal Mihir BHOJ Inter-College stated that there was no permission given for Sunday events in its place to become viral.
The letter came in response to police notifications issued for inter-university management under the CRPC 149 (police to prevent violations that could be recognized).
The line above the plaque has begun in Dadri last month after several people allegedly issued the word ‘Gurjar’ from the Mihir Bhoj statue plaque.
CM has launched the statue of the ruler at the PG College on September 22.
On September 28, some people allegedly applied the names of CM and other BJP leaders in protest.
The case was submitted against unknown people after the incident and 150 people were ordered.
