MEERUT: Nomination of the Candidate of Jamajwadi from the constituency of the Cairana Assembly, Nahid Hasan, was received by officers who returned on Monday.
Candidate of Nahid Iqra Hasan’s sister was also accepted together with 12 other candidates including BJP Mriganka Singh.
BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra has accused the Samajawadi Party to provide tickets to “thugs” like Nahid.
“Fortunately, Jacob Memon was given a lifetime of Akhilesh Ji to offer it in the election along with Nahid Hasan,” said Patra.
Nahid, MLA sat from Cairana, was arrested on January 15 by the police.
He was sought in a case where the police had slapped Gangster and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) acting to him for an incident that occurred in February 2021.
He was produced in court MP / MLA Shamli and sent to prison for 14 days.
Immediately after the arrest of Nahid, his back, Iqra Hasan, began to campaign on behalf of his brother.
Also, it captures that “unfavorable circumstances” can cause rejection of his nomination, Iqra has also submitted its nomination letter as an independent candidate.
“My mother and former member of Parliament Tabassum Hasan and Brother Nahid are framed in fake cases,” said Iqra who will continue to campaign for his brother.
Voting in Cairana will be held in the first phase of the upper election, on February 10 allegations in 2016 that “some Hindu families must migrate due to crime by certain groups”.
It has become a major political problem in the next year’s election in 2017.
