Nagpur: District Industry Center (DIC), which has been asked to develop a plan to promote the exports of the region, has been trapped to want data.
The DICS, which are under the State Industry Department, requires wise districts about commodities exported and imported from areas under their jurisdiction.
However, there are only a long official channel that can get information.
DICS must contact the Secretary of the Uni Trade through the State Industry Secretary, asking for the first to share data.
The central government has roamed the Government Government to encourage export promotion initiatives.
One-district one product model must be adopted, said source.
Here here and in other parts of Vidarbha also compiled a plan on these lines.
For this reason, the basic data about Exim’s trade is needed to produce a plan.
Knowing the type of imported commodity will also help promote the domestic industry that makes the same items, a DIC official said.
Dik, who approached the Office of the Customs Department in the city to get details, was told that the wise data of the district might not be easily available to it.
This problem was also taken during the export conclave meeting held by the Ministry of Trade last week at the Vidarbha Industry Association (VIA).
Consolidated, only consolidated data available at the Customs Department Nagpur Office.
This means that export or import even from the gondia or other districts will also be displayed as those from Nagpur, said a source.
Nagpur and colleagues elsewhere, however, need to be separated for each regional district.
Customs officers have suggested that this problem must be taken with the Secretary of the Maharashtra government industry, which in turn Contact Union Commerce Secretary to share the wise details of the district.
Now, the Industrial Commissioner in Maharashtra will write to the Ministry of Commerce to get data, said a senior official in DIC.
After communication occurs, data may be easily available, the source said.
