Bhubaneswar: Registering the highest leap more than 2,000 cases in 24 hours, the state on Tuesday reported 7,071 new infections, pushing the level of participation to more than 10% (10.24%).
.Khurda (2,226) and Sundargarh (1,147) contributed almost half of fresh infections, while 11 other districts saw cases in three digits.
While Sundargarh’s participants remained close to 23% (22.88%), Khurda recorded 17.09%.
Two more districts with more than 10% participants or in the ‘Red’ Cuttack (11.6) and Sambalpur zone (15.81).
With increasing cases, the head of the Naveen Patnaik Minister said the next two weeks will become significant officials and ask to remain vigilant.
“Even though hospitalization is not worth the cases in the third wave, so far, we need to be prepared,” said Naveen, while reviewing the Covid situation.
