In the BJP fortress Mapapaa, the party battle is familiar but stronger opponents

BJP has become the most dominant party in Mapusa for almost two decades but now faces difficult challenges from opponents who are very familiar.
Joshua, son of the former Deputy Minister and Melusa Mla who served long ago Francis D’Souza, accused the Congress candidate Sudhir Kandolkar in the 2019 election, requiring after his father died.
Joshua and Kandolkar are both prosperous under the supervision of the former Deputy Ministerial Deputy, and when he dies, the battle for Mapusa is a mess.
The child won by 1,151 votes, clearly not as comfortable as his father since 1999.
It can only be harder in 2022.
This time, Joshua responded not only Kandolkar but Michael Lobo too.
Former Port Minister and Calangute MLA have stopped from BJP to join Congress and now withdraw all stops to ensure that Mapusa is weaned from the Safron Party.
It won’t be easy for them.
While the BJP handle in Mapusa has been strong since Francis supported Manohar Parragar to become the main minister in 2000, Congress felt that he had the opportunity to win a seat for the first time since Shamsunder Neugi beat Surendra Sirsat (MGP) in 1980.
Mapusa has been with BJP Since 2002 and includes 18 Ward Municipal Council Munica (MMC), from a total of 20.
During the recent city selection, the Panel floated by BJP and Congress won the same number of environments.
Both have nine board members, but after defection, the Saffron party was able to form a board.
Of the total 18 board members, BJP has 12, while the remaining congress with six.
Still having to see how many BJP council members work with all my heart for Joshua’s victory.
All eyes will be in the BJP and Congress here, but there are others, especially AAP Goa Convener Rahul Mhambre who will expect to do better than 2,321 votes healed by Shraddha Khalap in 2017.
Tarak Arolkar (TMC) and Jitesh Kamat ( Shiv Sena)) is another party candidate in the commotion.
Over the past two decades, some problems continued to haunt Mapapaa.
This includes a lack of regular water supply, traffic congestion, parking, bus holder, waste management and poor roads.
The state government has placed a sewerage line in Mapapa but has not made a functional factory.
The Chairman of the Minister of Pramod Sawant inaugurated the bus holder, but remained closed for days.
Since 2002, BJP always has a smooth voyage in this constituency as his candidate, former Deputy Minister of Chief, remains very popular until his death when the party decides to nominate his son.
After being rejected by tickets, Kandolkar came out of BJP and joined the Congress to oppose the syllability of 2019.
He lost, but not before making his opponents sweat even with the minister’s head forced to camp in Mapapa.
Mapapaa is a prestigious chair for BJP and it will make no stone missed to secure it once more.
But then the party will have a familiar – and this time is stronger – opponents to compete with.
