New Delhi: Twitter India submitted Affidavit in the Delhi High Court on Saturday, said it was “in a big compliance” with the new information technology rules and “in the final stage” meets the legal requirements appoint a resident complaint and a Chief Compliance Officer.
The microblogging site then urged the court to dismiss the lawyers put forward by lawyers because of alleged non-compliance, questioning the right of “law and law” for users to register companies registered in the US.

Twitter shows that complaints by Acharya Petitioners against certain tweets have been considered and disposed of rapidly by the company.
He claimed that Acharya did not have a locus position to file a complaint in connection with the intended tweet, but because his complaint was discarded, “no one survives” in the petition.
In complaints raised by other Indian users, Twitter said this is currently being seen by complaint officers until the permanent appointment takes over.
Micro blogging sites also said they would fall in the definition of “significant social media intermediary” under information technology (intermediary guidelines and digital ethical codes), 2021.
Twitter told the court that it had appointed a temporary complaint officer before, but the candidate retreated at 21 June “Before the steps can be taken to fully formalize the agreement”.
In his request, it was submitted through Akash Vajpai and Manish Kumar advocates, Acharya Applicant said he knew about the alleged non-compliance of Twitter with IT rules when he tried to file a complaint against several tweets.
Hearing is then scheduled for Tuesday.
