In the first 8 days of September, Bengal wasoculating more than 40L

Kolkata: The vaccination rate takes a pretty good speed in Bengal.
More than 40 lakh doses have been given in the first eight days of September.
With a supply of regular vaccines, health officials hope to maintain the momentum of inoculation.
In the past eight days, the state has managed 5 doses of lakh-plus per day.
With almost 13 lakh doses given in one day on the last day of August, cumulative vaccination for that month recorded a 1.2 crore plus dose.
The August 31 inoculation drive has become one of the highest performances in Bengal so far.
Even because of such achievements have not been achieved after that, there are a few days when six to seven doses of lakh have been given.
“At present, we provide above 5 lakh daily doses.
Even if we are targeting between five doses of lakh and six lakh per day, September performance will be much better than August.
However, it will depend on how regular supply and quantity,” said a person Senior health officials.
On Thursday, when the drive starts for that day, the state has 33.6 doses of lakh it has.
Officials said remembering this stock, it would not be difficult to vaccinate five to six lakh people a day.
Bengal has been convinced about 1.3 doses of crore-plus for September.
“So far, we got a dose of 42.5 lakh for September.
We must get around 90 lakh more this month.
The next consignment of 10 lakh is expected to arrive on Sunday,” said Ashim Das Malakar, the state family welfare official.
Until the report comes in the end on Thursday, the cumulative 4.6 dose of crore-plus has been given throughout the state, where 3.3 crore-plus is the first dose, so it is close to 50% of the qualified population that has at least one dose vaccine.
“It is good that the inoculation drive gets momentum.
If we continue to manage 5-6 doses of lakh every day in mid-November, we will have a population of adults who meet the requirements in the state covered by at least one dose,” said Professor Ipgmer Surgery Diplipra Sarkar.
In Kolkata, 62 lakh-plus Jabs has been given, where 43 lakh-plus doses are the first dose.
Therefore, the source said, around 95% of Kolkatan has at least the first jab.
“Compared to the serpentine queue in front of the CVCS government, most of which are empty.
We can increase the inoculation of further drives if we find out how personal CVC can also return to vaccinate with the speed they did before,” said a senior official Swasthya Bhawan.
