In accordance with the EC direction, VVPat will be deployed along with EVMs in each polling station in other countries the polls will also – Goa, Manipur, Punjab and Uttarakhand.
District Judge (DM) from Agraprabhu N Singh, said, “These poll exercises will guarantee transparency and provide greater convictions of voters at EVMS.” Explain how it works, DM says, “A VVPat produces printout from cast sound using EVM, which can be checked with voters for dispelling doubts.
This printout is then saved into the box and can be used to complete any dispute during the results.” According to officials, the third generation ‘M-3’ (Modern EVMS) will be used today in the Polls up that will “automatically stop working if someone tries to tamper it.” On Sunday, working for the Insert ballots at EVMS was completed for the first stage of voting on 58 constituents from 11 districts in the West.
