Ranchi: 1.72 beneficiaries of Lakh are vaccinated throughout the state on Friday, the highest in one day.
In accordance with the vaccination bulletin issued by the State Health Department, a total of 1,72,639 people were vaccinated on Friday at 1.566 session sites, where 1,11,822 received their first dose when 60,817 received their second dose.
Some vaccination centers in the city, including Football Birsa Munda Stadium and Ima Bhavan, saw long queues and Ranchi topped the charts with a total of 21,649 beneficiaries given shots, followed by East Singhbhum who wereoculating 18,689 beneficiaries.
Dhanbad was inoculated at 16,387 while Hazaribag vaccinated 13,435 beneficiaries.
“Previously, I had to go back twice because there were no doses available but today I got a vaccine in ten minutes after my arrival in the middle.
I have taken the first dose of the covishield and asked to take second jab after 84 days,” said Kokar Resident Patchouli Kumari.
“I worked as a delivery boy and I had to take the second dose and I had crossed my time scheduled for about a week ago.
Today, I was finally able to take a second shot,” said Shankar Kullu.
With this, the cumulative coverage in Jharkhand reached 81.97.294, where 67.36,731 had received their first dose while 14,60,563 had received the dose.
