Chandigarh / Amritsar: Capt Amarinder Singh Punjab Lok Congress (PLC) on Sunday declared the first list of 22 candidates for February 20 assembly polls, packing it with several former MLA Congress and office carriers who followed him from a party last year.
Two sad legislators, Farzana Alam and Prem Mittal, were part of the mixture when the party made his selection debut in several months formed.
The first list of parties has nine Candidates for JAT Sikh, three Brahmins, two of the Agggarwal community, four SCS and three OBCs, and one of the Muslim communities.
Amarinder will seek re-election of patiala urban.
It has reduced former Indian Hockey captain Ajitpal Singh in Nakodar.
PLC will oppose 37 out of 117 seats in Punjab as part of the Alliance with BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt).
Amarinder said talks for PLC to get five chairs again.
