Nagpur: Again, Covishield’s shot will not be available at the government vaccination center in the city and several rural centers on Tuesday.
Almost all more than 65,000 free covishield doses are used in the district on Sunday and Monday.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) vaccination center will not be able to offer Covishield to any age group until Thursday.
However, the Civic body has decided to reach a nursing mother and pregnant woman from Thursday itself.
Commissioner of the Government of the Government of Ram Joshi said, “Because the norms allow the vaccination of women, the body of the Civic will not delay further ordering and start a number of doses for them.
We will vaccinate them in priority,” he said.
Joshi added that the survey was being started to estimate the number of beneficiaries.
“Special camps in areas that have many lactate mothers or pregnant women can be held.
Our team will spread in every zone to find the beneficiaries.
Priority can also be given to them at the existing center,” he said.
Having such a drive amid persistent shortcomings, said Joshi, “Civic’s body has ordered a dose for foreign bound students because they need priority vaccination.
This time too, we will ensure that the group is covered quickly,” he said.
The group will also have the advantage of online and offline registration.
Women can schedule an appointment or walk to the nearest vaccination center to register.
Meanwhile, Covaxin will be available for 18+ and 45+ age groups at GMCH, Siddarth Nagar Center, Ambedkar Hospital in Indora, and an expensive diagnostic center on Tuesday.
Both doses will be given, NMC informs.
On Monday, the number of vaccinations at City fell to more than 22,000 after a record of more than 37,000 doses the day before.
Many centers witness in a hurry, according to officials.
Most slots are taken as soon as they are available on the co-win system, they said.
