In the middle of the Silverline line, two road projects make a stable progress

Thiruvananthapuram: Even as a controversy over the Silverline Rail project is intended for quick connectivity between Kasaragod and Thiruvananthapuram Heat, two main connectivity projects secretly made progress.
The Hill-Highway Project and the Highway Coastal Project between government priority projects are experiencing progress with a brief report with a detailed project report of the 32 stretches carried out by the Kerala Road Fund Council (KRFB) has been cleared, 25 is given financial sanctions, 21 given Technical sanctions and work tenders floated for 20 stretches.
The work occurred in 14 stretches, while four had been completed, in accordance with the details accessed by TOI.
The government’s plan is to create a 1251km long hill highway in Nadarapu Avu in the case and conclude Parassala, which will cross 13 of the 14 districts in the state.
The government has provided administrative sanctions against the 3,500 crore Hospital for the project.
Of the 54 stretches together to form a project, 41 stretches (915km) are being carried out by KRFB, each by each by the Kerala State Transport Project (KSTP) (68km) and the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) (99km), Four by Jalan PWD (37KM), two leading and reluctant mainstay infrastructure projects (DFIP) (67km) and one per Kerala road infrastructure company (Rick) (11km).
Because some of these stretches pass through forest land, documents for forest permits in Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kottayam have been submitted or have received permission through the Parivesh Portal.
Because there is a small problem with the soil for the route identified in Palakkad, the National Transportation Planning and Research Officer (NATPAC) has visited the Palakkad and suggested an alternative route through Karuvarakundu-Melatur-Ucharakadavu-Meenkara Dam-Kollengode-Nenmen and Vadakakcheri.
Similarly, the coastal highway that runs to 627km has 55 stretches, including nine districts ranging from Poovar in the capital to the Kunjathoor in Kasaragod.
Of the 55 stretches, 42 (covering a length of 420km) is being implemented by KRFB.
While financial sanctions have been obtained for five stretches, work occurs in two of them.
Of the remaining 13, nine are being carried out by NHAI (67km), two by roads and bridges of Kerala Corporate Development (RBDCK) (76km) and each by KSTP (12km) and DFIP (2km).
DPRS preparation for 33 stretches increased, where the government has chosen the Infrastructure Development Corporation, Karnataka, (IDECK) as a technical consultant for stretching in Kasaragod, Kannur, Kozhikode and Malappuram.
The agreement was executed with IDECK for the preparation of the DPR on November 24, and the site visit had begun.
Regarding three stretches in Kozhikode carried out by the NH Division, the DPR has been resolved and has been submitted to Kiifb for approval.
Natpac will hand over the DPR to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Alappuzha in February.
Even though the deadline has been passed several times, these projects are expected to be completed during the current government administration.
