Some countries have announced restrictions on the End of Year and New Year celebrations and some contemplate amid the increase in Covid cases driven by Omicron in the country, with the government and health experts overseeing signs of how new variants can be played.
On Tuesday, Karnataka was prohibited for the second major meeting in a row for the New Year celebration – December 30 to January 2 – in all states that reported the first Omicron case in November.
Special new year events at clubs, pubs and apartments are not allowed.
However, there is no limit to celebrating Christmas, but meetings are not allowed outside the church, where keeping social blasphemy norms is mandatory.
In Tamil Nadu, Chennai Beach is beyond the limit for the new year’s revelers.
The government has not declared restrictions anymore, although vaccination and other covid protocols have been made mandatory to enter the club and hotel.
Odisha has become the first country to ban new year celebrations, parties in hotels, restaurants and public areas on December 31 and January 1 T are permitted in government and commercial companies such as malls, multiplex and clubs.
Haryana, for its part, will decide whether to forbid or not outdoors, public celebrations for Christmas and New Year after examining what the Delhi government did.
“We will immediately receive a call,” said an official.
On Wednesday, there were no sidewalks announced by the northeastern state, Goa, Rajasthan, UP, Kerala, Gujarat, Bihar, Andhra, Telangana, MP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Uttarakhand, but most states took stock situation.
