New Delhi: The leader of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu met with the Secretary General of the Priyanka Party Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday morning, and was studied to discuss his role in improvement in the assembly unit in front of the party.
Sidhu said on Tuesday that he was scheduled to meet Rahul Gandhi but the latter denied that there was a meeting scheduled with him.
The former Minister of Punjab was in Loggerhead with the Chairman of Minister Amarinder Singh and had become a public against him.
Sidhu said he held a long meeting with Vadra.
“Have a long meeting with @priyankagandhi ji,” Sidhu tweeted, along with a picture with Vadra.
The leadership of the Congress tried to change the punjab party unit and present a united face in front of the assembly selection in the state early next year.
The source said the party’s leadership tried to resolve the position for Sidhu in the party that had been changed or the state government, but he insisted not to work with CM Singh.
Rahul Gandhi has met party leaders from Punjab for their views on the situation and political measures needed to strengthen the party ahead of the 2022 assembly poll.
Sidhu, who has resigned from the Punjab Cabinet after he divested from the local body portfolio in 2019, was located in the Loggerheads with the leader of the Minister of Singh.
He has attacked the minister’s Chairperson of alleged delay in justice at the 2015 Pension Incident and the next police.
The minister’s chairman has slammed Sidhu because he continued to attack him over the problem of the beating and called the ex explosion of “total dissipline”.
Earlier this month, Sidhu has emerged in front of the three members arranged by Congress to resolve disputes in the party state unit.
On June 22, Singh appeared before the panel, led by opposition leader at Rajya Sabha Malikarjun Kharge, in Delhi.
However, he returned to Chandigarh without an audience with the party President Sonia Gandhi or Rahul Gandhi.
