In the Rewari market, farmers make several visits, waiting for hours for one bag

REWARI: Anaj Bath has watched an unusual scene with farmers and their families queuing in front of the private dealer outlet for Ammonium Phosphate (DAP), fertilizers that are very necessary for rabbi plants, sometimes since 2 am.
While waiting for its turn stretched to the following afternoon, measuring the nerves and testing patience, the outlet always had the presence of the police to maintain law and order.
Farmers in the South Haryana district found it difficult to get the ‘kaad’ they needed to sow plants such as mustard and wheat.
Time almost runs out to sow mustard.
After Rajasthan, Haryana is the second largest Mustard producer, which is mainly planted in the southern district of the country.
Bhiwani, Mahendergarh and Rewari are leading mustard producers.
Farmers need a further stock stock to sow wheat in November.
While the government Haryana officially maintains no shortage of DAP, farmers waiting for hours outside the shops in Anaj Bath have different stories to tell.
Day Prakash (50) told Tii on Wednesday, he had come to bathing from his village Sulkha in Rewari for the past three days.
Every time, he has returned empty-handed.
“Every day, 500-600 people march outside the dealer shop but even half of them get DAP.
Our family of four really depends on the farm.
If we don’t get ‘Khaad’ (fertilizer) on time, our plants will be damaged,” Prakash said, which has two hectares of land where he will sow mustard.
Unable to buy DAP, farmer groups have arranged protests and obstacles in various parts of Haryana.
A few days ago, some farmers allegedly erased more than 100 pockets of DAP from private dealer outlets at Mahendergarh’s Ateli.
Minister of Mamnohar Minister Lal Khattar experienced earlier this week to direct the police to form a flying troops to examine, hoard, black marketing and smuggling fertilizer.
While the state government has convinced DAP farmers’ shares will be available, farmers fear they run out of time.
“This is the sow of sowing and farmers need DAP desperately.
We are under great pressure every day because they (farmers) march and shout at us.
But what can we do?” Asked Uttam Yadav, DEALER DAP, added a lower supply from usual.
Yadav said every day, the dealer received 200-500 bags of DAP but the requirements were 1,000-1,500 pockets.
Minister of Agriculture and the welfare of JP Dalal farmers accused agricultural leaders and activists spread rumors about DAP deficiency.
“There is a lack of DAP in Punjab and Rajasthan.
So, they smuggle it from Haryana.
The queue you see is because DAP is given after an Aadhaar card check by dealers to ensure Haryana farmers who get it,” said Dalal Toi.
The minister said there was a 10% increase in DAP sales from last year.
According to official figures, almost 1.03 lakh MT DAP sold last year, while this year, 1.5 lakh MT DAP had been sold until Tuesday.
The government’s sources told Ti India importing a large number of DAPs to fulfill their domestic demand and Pandemic Covid-19 have influenced DAP production throughout the world.
Because the price mustard was very remunerative last season, farmers were motivated to plant plants.
The state has encouraged farmers to grow mustard.
“We will get an additional 15,000-20,000 million in the next few days.
We also have 40,000 MT NPK (nitrogen phosphorus and potassium), which are homemade and organic,” said Dalal, adding mustard farmers Haryana who grew can use NPK as fertilizer alternative.
However, NPK is a little more expensive, farmers point.
DAP, after subsidies, costs 1,200 bags while NPK costs Rs 1,300 bags.
“It seems that there may be a difference in only Rs 100 but when you buy in large quantities, it clamps,” explained Om Kumar, another farmer who was in a shower to buy DAP.
The bag has 50kg DAP.
All India Kisan Sabha (Aiks) Secretary Haryana Unit Balbir Singh Thakan said, “This is clearly wrong to manage on the government and this is done intentionally to destroy the peasant movement against the new Central Agriculture Law, so farmers are trapped in the procurement of DAP and cannot participate In protest.
