Jaipur: The state government has increased incentives under ‘mukhbir yojana’ (informer schemes) with the aim of preventing women’s feticide.
Increased incentives of RS 3 Lakh, up from Rs 2.5 lakh, will be effective from the financial year 2021-22.
Under the scheme, someone provides information about doctors or other people involved in sex determination.
PCPNDT cells then verify information and perform bait operations to capture the guilty.
The Main Secretary (Health) Akhil Arora has issued a detailed guideline for the scheme.
In guidelines, special emphasis has been placed to prevent sexual determination by strict implementation of PCPNDT actions.
Previously, the informant got Rs 2.5 lakh in three installments.
The first installment was given to the success of the settlement of feed operations, the second after complaints were submitted in court and third after the verdict by the court.
Now, it makes it more interesting for informants, pregnant women and their hands will be paid total Rs 3 Lakh.

Pregnant women will get Rs 1.50 lakh.
The right state authority (Pre-Conception Pre-Christmas Diagnostic Engineering Act) Sudhir Sharma said there would be more support from people in preventing sex determination by the application of the informant scheme with a slight modification in incentives.
He appealed to people to extend assistance in preventing sex determination and filed a complaint about it in the 104/108-free number and at the WhatsApp 979997795 number.
