Nagpur with the number of active cases that crossed 20,000 marks in the district, acceptance in the government and private hospitals had risen but most of these patients had been received or taken there earlier for several other diseases.

About 200 patients were positive and shifted to Covid Ward in the three medical colleges.
Likewise, more than 100 patients in different private hospitals are placed in isolation after testing positive.
These include patients trauma, paralysis, liver disease, surgery, seizures, strokes, bleeding etc.
The doctor said they were incidental findings but must be isolated to prevent the spread of infection.
Dr.
Prashant Patil, head of the GMCH drug department, said, “Only four patients supported oxygen in our Covid ward.
The rest is in the air room.
When pregnant women are also tested before shipping, separate settings have been made for shipping or C-section also in wards Covid.

Also, around 100 patients were treated in the Covid GMCH ward.

Patil said that some referral patients came to ventilators from outside the district or other hospitals.
However, Dr.
Patil warned that Covid accelerated complications among people with comorbidity.
“The virus places an additional burden on the immune system.
In this way many lives are short,” he said.
IgGmch officials said that some rushes were seen in Covid OPD but following exam patients did not qualify for acceptance.
“Most of them are suggested home isolation.
Covid Ward has those who suffer from asthma and TB for monitoring,” they said.
Dr.
Nitin Shinde, a specialist of infectious diseases at Alexis Hospital, said they had begun to recognize patients to Ward Covid after incidental findings.
“But some of them need O2 support,” he said.
Dr.
Ashwini Took, a specialist of infectious diseases at Kingsway Hospital, said that patients who were not vaccinated against Covid complications.
“We also have several covid incidental cases.
They don’t have a lot of lung involvement,” he said.
Nagpur AIIMS officials said that the majority of their patients related to Covid.
“They were treated at Ward Sari and if their antigen or RT-PCR positive, they shifted to the Covid ward.
We have enough oxygen beds,” they said.
