Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) on Wednesday made an open demand to the center and seek the inclusion of Sarna religion in the coming national census and also demanding that the census must also be held on the caste path.
Speaking to reporters at the party headquarters in Bariautan, Secretary General JMM Supriyo Bhattacharya claimed that the center was moving in a planned way to abolish the reservation fully.
“Our party welcomed the recent amendment trip to the constitution that allowed the state to identify various castees that lived in their geographical borders.
But at the same time, there was no caste-based census in the coming training.
This implies that even if the country is -Negara identifies various backward castes, they will lose the benefits of orders in work, studies and in social welfare schemes, “Bhattacharya said.
Ajsu party, BJP allied in NDA, has been looking for a caste-based census.
Head Sudesh Mahto wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and claimed that the caste-based census was needed to evaluate the situation in the field and helped plan a social welfare scheme.
Bhattacharya also claimed that even though the national census was carried out in 2011, his findings were not submitted before the parliament after the NDA government led by BJP assumed the office in 2014.
“In 2015, Arun Jaitley had convinced the house that the findings would be submitted.
Three years later, Union Minister Rajnath Singh also made the same guarantee, but his findings could not be submitted, “he said.
JMM said it was suspicious that the ignorance of the Center for starting a caste-based census was aimed at facilitating the submission of public sector business to the company’s home.
“Many superior from the passing of agricultural law, some of the company houses have invested hundreds of crores rupees and established cold chains and warehouses.
