Nagpur: Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) has issued a letter that is strongly said to a number of deviations in the Special Mihan (Mihani Sez) economic zone.
It is recommended to take investigations of alertness in matters quoted in communication.
The letter was on behalf of the Ministry of Commerce, represented by the Office of the Development Commissioner (DC) in Sez.
Development Commissioners are posts appointed for each special economic zone and office ensure compliance with SEZ relevant laws.
Government company – MADC – is the developer Mihan-sez.
It has been shown that nearly six companies have been allowed to end and empty places in SEZ, without mandatory intimacy to the customs department or get a certificate without contributions from the DC office.
The letter mentioned it became a serious violation of the Sez rules indicating that this problem could be taken before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) or Lokayukta.
Specific examples of units allowed to end without proper permission from the authorities have been given in communication.
The source said if a unit emptied Sez without completing the formality, it led to a big violation.
This is because SEZ is a tax-free area, so every raw material and finished product must be accounted for before leaving.
Citing cases, communication says a pharmaceutical company has left the place after it can’t pay MADC rentals.
However, it happens without intimacy and securing a certificate without contributions.

Other companies, which are reported to have bought a duty-free input for RS7 Lakh songs, ending in the same way.
Some units do not have a certificate of contributions and other relevant approval after leaving, said the source.
