Lucknow: The state government has announced a 3 percentage points increase in the wing allowance for government employees, from existing 28% to 31%.
This increase will apply in retrospections from July 2021 and arrears will be transferred to the employee’s funding fund account.
The last revision was announced on July 28, 2021 when DA was revised to 28%, the level at which employees had received DA since then.
Da revision was detained in 2020 because Covid-19 where the DA point was 17%.
An official said Da increased twice every year, on January 1 and July 1 but in April 2020, the center and later the State announced that there would be no revision at DA until July 1, 2021 to help the government finished financially Covid-19 pandemic.
Government sources say for those who are members of the National Pension Scheme, a number of revisions will be stored in the NPS account.
Those who retire before the decision announced will have contributions paid to them in cash.
This step will benefit around 16 employees of the Lakh government and 12 lakh retirees.
