Lucknow: With the threat of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic soaring in the state, the chairman of the Yogi Adityanath Minister on Thursday directing all district judges to maintain strict alertness in areas under their jurisdiction to ensure the Covid-19 protocol is strictly followed during Christmas and new year celebrations.
Although the state government has not issued limits on movement or meetings, strict examinations for masks and social distance in the mall, cinema, hotels, cafes and markets may take place for the next few days.
On Thursday, CM strengthened the need to examine all passengers who entered the state at the airport and the train station to identify those infected with Omicron variants.
He also directed officials to make the right arrangements in all governments and private hospitals in accordance with new central guidelines for Covid-19.
“Everyone must follow the Covid-19 protocol and ensure 100% use of masks and cleansers, and practice social lubs and personal hygiene.
While the transmission is still under control, the virus is still there,” CM said, added that a five-fold strategy search, testing, treatment , Covid behavior and vaccination must be implemented very seriously.
The state is a banking on vaccination to be able to handle other waves of the Koronavirus case.
Calling the most effective weapon vaccination of variants such as Omicron, CM has provided direction to increase vaccination.
Until Thursday, the state has managed the 19.06 crore vaccine dose, the highest in all states.
