HYDERABAD: The BJP government at the Centre should take up delimitation of assembly constituencies in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as per the AP Reorganisation Act 2014 along with Jammu and Kashmir, Telangana State Planning Board vice-chairman B Vinod Kumar said.
At a press conference here on Saturday, the former MP demanded that assembly seats be increased to 153 from the existing 119 in Telangana.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier said the delimitation of assembly constituencies was not possible till 2026 and requires constitutional amendment to take up the exercise.
Why is the same rule not applicable to Jammu and Kashmir.
It is against one nation-one law,” Vinod Kumar said.
He said the BJP is planning to gain political advantage in J&K.
