In 75 hospitals that shared data, there were 2,555 isolation beds for covid patients, including 294 ICU beds without ventilators and other 576 with ventilators.

The Ministry of Health said 15 hospitals had updated their oxygen plant capacity or installed their new PSA units.

About seven or eight hospitals have stated that they have less than 20 beds and will not be allowed to carry out covid treatments in the future, the health department said.
The department also advises hospitals to buy intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) drugs for emergency use among children.
IVIG is given to patients with diseases that affect the immune system and are also used to treat autoimmune disorders.
Children who don’t have enough antibodies are given IVIG to help increase their immunity.
IVIG drug costs a 15,000 Rs for a 5 gram bottle and is given based on the weight of the child.
