Gurgaon: The day after the Haryana Electricity Settings Committee (HERC) attracted the power discount – DHBVN and UHBVN – on the wrong meter and delay in completing the increasing electricity bill, the electricity department has announced that all complaints will be completed within seven days.
Likewise, the wrong meter problem will be handled in urban areas and rural respectively in September and October.
“We have developed a mechanism for fast public disposal but because Covid-19, there are some delays.
We have noted the order delivered by HERC and has asked all officials to ensure that this order is applied strictly,” said a senior Uhbvn official to Tii.
“In case of every deviation, strict action will follow the official who surrendered.” On July 29, HERC noted that the two discounts of power have taken more than 11 days to solve the problems submitted by consumers, and on many occasions, “the resolution provided is not satisfactory”.
It was also noted that in Gurgaon around 8,000 complaints of high trap bills were waiting for resolution.
The Committee also observed that more than 5% of the total meter was found defective against the limits that were permitted less than 2% below the SOP regulation even in urban areas such as Ambala, Kaithal, Sonipat.
It is said that the discount is to submit a report containing the details of the time taken for the repair of the consumer bill under the specific trap bill category.
“The Commission further observed that in the case of DHBVN, around 8,000 high trap bills in Gurgaon were waiting for resolution, which needed an explanation of why (supervisory engineers) SE / Gurgaon should not be punished.
DHBVN must submit an explanation for this in seven days,” Read orders , Diskomes have also been drawn to publish 13.75% temporary bill during the second wave of Covid-19 – April and 2021 – against the state government order of only 0.1% temporary bill.
