Noida: With Laxmi Nagar and other markets in Delhi are closed due to the increasing crowd, Atta Market Association in Noida has asked the government to ensure strict enforcement or will soon appear as a Covid hotspot.
The shop owner has requested authority to control the number of invalid vendors in and around Atta Market.
Some other areas such as weekly vegetable markets in Conscial, Barola, Bhangel and Shhadra also saw a heavy step.
CB Jha, President of the Atta Market Association, said, “It was almost a week since the market was opened and we had seen a large crowd.
People pamper street vendors and several food stalls.
We have asked the authorities to arrange the crowd and ensure the right masking if not , Atta the market will be the next hotspot for the city.
“He added that there were 330 street vendors who were authorized by the Noida Authority.
However, there are around 700 other vendors marching around Atta’s market to Naya Gaon.
The shop owner has told the police and authority about crowding by this vendor but not much has been done to delete it, they said.
Officials said that the announcement was being carried out and the police punished people because they did not wear a mask.
However, if the crowd on the market continues, turning off the market may be needed in Noida too.
Suhas District Judge Ly said, “We have all open options for controlling the crowd and we may have to take strict action if people do not set themselves.
We hope that people take corrective action because the appropriate behavior of Covid is still needed and important.” Meanwhile, Citing losses, sectoral market associations 18 appealed to the state government to consider market opening during the weekend as well.
“Limiting parking in sector 18 is another reason why there are no customers here.
There are no such norms for other markets in Noida.
We will take this with administration,” said SK Jain, President of the Sector Market Association 18.
