Gurgaon: The number of vaccinations in Haryana witnessed a significant increase in August compared to July.
The country did a total of 27.72 inoculation lakh in July before the number rose to 45.46 lakh in August – registering an increase of 64%.
While the first dose vaccination in this country saw a 68% increase, the second dose inoculation increased by 56% in a month.
Gurgaon, who has focused on the second dose, witnessed a slightly decreased track at the first dose in August compared to the dosage given in July.
The first dose vaccination in Gurgaon fell 36% but the second dose vaccination rose 62% in that period.
The city did a total of 6.31 lakh vaccination in July while in August 5.71 lakh vaccination was carried out.
Drive vaccination in Haryana was hit hard until the second week of June due to lack of dose.
However, the country began to witness an increase from June 21 when the center decided to route all vaccine supplies through the country.
The average daily vaccination in August was 1.51,868, which was 92,432 in July.
Haryana has given 21,72,005 the first dose and 12.37,012 second dose to people over 60 years.
Likewise, in the age group 45-59 years, a total of 27,62,174 the first dose has been given and 13,15,540 has received their second dose.
In the 18-44 year age group, 66,88,097 the first dose was given and 10.76,960 received their second dose.
Also, Haryana has provided 1,41,65,441 doses of covishield, 21,41,479 covaxin doses and 58,255 sputnik doses so far.
The Ministry of Health hopes to increase speed in the coming months.
“This vaccine supply is smooth now,” said ACS (Health) Rajeev Arora.
Gurgaon, meanwhile, has provided 1,92,045 first doses and 1,42,997 second dose to people over 60 years.
Similarly, in the age group 45-59 years, a total of 3,03,455 the first dose has been given and out of 1,88,921 has received their second dose.
In the age group 18-44 years, as many as 11.04,836 the first dose was given and 2.65,482 got their second dose.
Also, Gurgaon has provided 20,73,825 covishield doses, 2,96,275 covaxin doses, and 30,238 sputnik doses so far.
“We now concentrate more at the second dose because the coverage of the city’s first dose vaccination has officially reached 100%.
Because Gurgaon has a large migration population and floating, high coverage.
