Ranchi: The 75th Independence Day was observed with enthusiasm in the city of Ranchi on Sunday with Minister of Chief Hemant Soren unfurling a national flag in the state function in Morabadi Tanah.
Speaking on that occasion, the minister’s chairman highlighted the role of freedom fighters, including Mahatma Gandhi and Birsa Munda and also praised Jawan who maintained the border in difficult conditions.
Soren registered various schemes carried out by their government for the growth and welfare of the people.
The minister’s chairman also announced that the government would begin integrated Birsa Gram Vikas Yojana-Krishak Pathshala to educate farmers in modern agricultural practices, livestock, pigs and fisheries.
The government aims to provide drinking water to 59 lakh families in rural areas, he said.
Soren said that industrial policies had been put in place and added that 2,000 km of roads were being increased for economic promotion.
He said the pandemic excites all development work but added that efforts to restore normal economic activities.
He said that a number of Rs 7,644 Crore had been allocated for rural development with the intention of changing this sector as a growth machine in the state.
He said several employment schemes, including Birsa Harit Gram Yojana, Pitamber Pitamber Jal Samridhhi Yojana, Veer Sahid Poto Ho Khel Vikas Yojana and Didi Badi Yojana was launched.
He added that changes in the rules have been made to speed up the appointment process.
While lifting a national flag at Vidhan Sabha’s place, Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto said the Jharkhand leaders, including Baba Tilka Manjhi and Birsa Munda, played a major role in instilling the spirit of freedom in people.
Chairman of the Jharkhand High Court High Court, Dr.
Ravi Ranjan, lifted a national flag in the Premisin Court of the presence of the judge.
Director General of Police Neeraj Sinha unfurled a national flag at the police headquarters.
He detailed the role of the police in fighting Covid and extremist and maintaining public law and order.
Functions of flag lifting also occur in other government offices, including the Ministry of Information and Public Relations and Collectorate.
The Cockerel division of the army in collaboration with the Ministry of Forestry, Ranchi, has made a determination to expand green cover in the capital as part of the 75th Independence Day celebration.
The drive which began in the cargil vijay diwas on July 26 peaked on August 15.
About 7,500 puppies were planted in various bags of Ranchi.
The Army Division along with the National Cadet Corps also organized the cycle expedition to mark independence day.
