NEW DELHI: India combined China and Russia in abstaining in a vote on a UNGA resolution trying to delegitimise that the Myanmar military junta and also to stop flow of arms to the nation.
Justifying its decision to multitask, ” the authorities said the settlement, which was embraced with 119 votes in favor, was released and without sufficient consultations together with Myanmar’s neighbours and regional nations.
India reported the settlement, explained by many as the most powerful condemnation of all Myanmar’s army commanders because the coup, did not reflect its views and that it did not think that the resolution was about to help the joint efforts towards strengthening the civic procedure.
“This resolution has been tabled from the UN General Assembly without sufficient consultations with neighbors and regional nations.
