New Delhi: India has asked Pakistan through a diplomatic channel to allow Srinagar-Sharjah flights to first use airspace which remembers greater interest in ordinary people who have booked tickets on this service, said government officials on Thursday.
The development came after Pakistan on Tuesday did not allow Srinagar-Sharjah flights to use the airspace, forcing him to take a longer route and fly over Gujarat to achieve his goal in the UAE.
Going first, who was previously known as a Goair, has started a direct flight between Srinagar and Sharjah from October 23 and this service was inaugurated by the Minister of the house of Amit Shah during his visit to the Valley last month.
According to officials, until October 31, Srinagar-Sharjah-Srinagar services will go through the Pakistani airspace.
However, Pakistan on Tuesday does not allow flights to pass airspace, and therefore, services must take a longer route, discuss Gujarat, adding about 40 minutes to flight time on the next trip and the trip home.
, they said.
A longer route means higher fuel consumption, which can drive airlines to increase ticket prices or change this non-stop service to one-stop service.
Therefore, officials said that India had asked Pakistan through diplomatic channels to give excessive permits to this flight by considering the interest of ordinary people who had booked this ticket.
The Pakistani government has not provided special reasons to refuse permission for flights, they said.
According to officials, flights, which operate four times a week, did not face any problems when using Pakistani airspace between October 23 and October 31.

Srinagar-Sharjah-Srinagar Airline service is the first service between Jammu and Kashmir and UAE after 11 years.
Air India Express has started Srinagar-Dubai flights in February 2009 but was stopped after some time due to low demand.
Reacting to Pakistani’s actions, former Minister of J & K and the leader of the National Conference Omar Abdullah on Wednesday has tweeted “It is unfortunate.
Pakistan does the same with Air India Express flights from Srinagar to Dubai in 2009-2010.
I hope that @Gofirstairways is permitted To start the excessive airspace of sir is an indication of disbursement in the relationship but unfortunately not “.
The blame of the center, the Head of PDP and former Minister J & K Minister Mehbooba Mufti in a tweet said, “Confusing that the Indonesian Government does not even bother securing Pakistan’s permission to use air wardes from Srinagar.
Only a PR extravaganza.” Perveiccribes flight, Shah has said that the start of Srinagar-Sharjah’s service will increase tourism.
“There are many people from Srinagar and Jammu who settled in the Gulf Countries.
There are many tourists who want to come from the Gulf countries to Jammu and Kashmir.
J & K tourism will get a big boost with the start of Srinagar.
Flight -Sharjah,” he added .
Officials said Srinagar-Sharjah flights took around 3 hours and 40 minutes, while flights returned to around 3 hours to reach the capital of Jammu and Kashmir if the Pakistani airspace was used.
With Islamabad refused to let his flight through the airspace, he added about 40 minutes of time during the next trip and during the return trip, increase the cost of fuel and tickets, which they mentioned.
However, the Pakistani government has allowed special flight Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Italy to use airspace on Friday to attend the G20 Summit.
