India, Bhutan sign MoU for Collaboration on climate change, waste Control

NEW DELHI: India and Bhutan have also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the environment industry, Union Environment Prakash Javadekar said on Friday.
“India has real relationship with Bhutan.
Now, both countries signed an MoU that can open new vistas of civic collaboration in the fields of climate change, waste management, etc..” the Union tweeted.
The MoU between India’s Ministry of Environment and Bhutan’s National Environment Commission will reinforce technological, management and scientific capacities, and also extend the areas of collaboration within the area of environment to encourage a mutually beneficial enterprise, ministry officials said.
“The MoU is going to be the stage to further improve our partnership and help, market best practices in regions of #AirPollution, Waste Management, Chemical Management, #ClimateChange, etc..” the ministry tweeted.
Javadekar along with Tandi Dorji, Bhutan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairperson of the National Environment Commission, signed the MoU through an electronic meeting.
