NEW DELHI: India is in touch with the Authorities of Dominica, and Antigua and Barbuda to Deliver back diamantaire Mehul Choksi.
Choksi was seized on Wednesday in Arabian Dominica following an Interpol Yellow Notice was issued .
The sources told PTI that India had been connected with Antigua and Barbuda about the issue and contact was established with the authorities of Dominica.
“We’re in contact with them.
Our interest in receiving fugitives such as Choksi and many others stays powerful,” stated a source, including the focus is to attract them back into the nation at the very earliest.
The Dominican authorities on Thursday reported that the diamantaire Mehul Choksi was arrested for illegal entrance into Dominica.
Ministry of National Security & Home Affairs of Dominica at a declaration said that a red alert has also been issued by Interpol.
Dominica is connected with police of Antigua, potential agreements will be made to allow him to be repatriated into Antigua, ” it stated.
Formerly, his disappearance had been reported to the government with a relative.
Choksi, 63, is desired at a Rs 13,500-crore loan fraud from the Punjab National Bank.
He had been seen going for supper at his automobile from Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday.
He went missing on Sunday after that the manhunt was launched from the Antigua authorities.
Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne had stated he might have fled via a waterway because there wasn’t any advice of him flying from the nation.
Observing that, the Antigua authorities sent notices to various counties seeking his whereabouts.
There was also a petition made into the Interpol to issue some literary Notice.
