India, England Do Mega Tri-Services Wargame in the Arabian Sea

New Delhi: India and England carry out a series of complex military exercises as part of the Tri-Services Wargame in the Arab Sea, which is billed as the most ambitious exercise by the two countries ever.
The UK’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) was led by the biggest warship HMS Queen Elizabeth and several other frontline vessels of two navies participated in the ‘Konki Shakti’ training for a week which began on October 21, officials said.
The Battle Carrier Group or Carrier Strike Group is a Naval Mega fleet consisting of aircraft carriers, accompanied by a large number of destroyers, frigates and other ships.
England is only a third country after the US and Russia with India are doing tri-service exercises.
MIG 29K MIG 29K Indian, the Royal Navy and SU-30 F-35B aircraft and Jaguar Fighters India Air Force is one of the main assets used for this exercise, officials said.
Indian Navy Attenders Commander Vivek Madhwal said the sea phase of Tri-services Maiden training started from the Konkan beach in the Arabian Sea on Sunday after the complete port phase settlement.
The British High Commission said personnel from the three services from the two countries participated in Tri-Services exercises and described it as “the most ambitious carried out by the two countries to date”.
This exercise is said to be another step in deepening bilateral defense and security relations and increasing strategic cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region.
The High Commission said this exercise provides an opportunity for the armed forces of two democracies that appear outwardly and confident to work in synergy and uphold our commitment with peace and security.
“CSG involvement with India featured a comprehensive strategic partnership .
“Our growing interaction is a testimony with a joint commitment to the international system based on the rules, confidence in open trade values, and in the importance of exact freelance freedom conveyed to all nations,” he said.
Describing the Sea Phase of Training, Madhwal Commander said all participating units were divided into two opponent’s strengths with the aim of achieving ‘sea control’ to army land forces in predetermined locations.
He said one power consisted of Ins Chennai, another warship of the Indian Navy and HMS Richmond, Frigate Type 23 Royal Navy.
Another strength operated under the group of British aircraft strikes consisting of HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft, British and Dutch naval ships, and Indian warships.
“Both strengths are integrated in their groups with exercises such as charging on the sea approach, air direction and strike operations by fighter planes (MIG 29KS and F35B), Cross Control of Helicopters (Sea King, Cheapak and Wildcat), transit through scenario war -Sea , “he said.
The official said the simulation induction of Army forces was also carried out and followed by the joint command operation center settings.

The air operation included attacking the combined formation by Dornier Indian Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Dornier, Indian Navy Fighters 29KS, F35BS Royal Navy and SU-30 Indian Air Force and Jaguar Jets, he said.
Madhwal Commander said the sub-surface exercise with the Indian Scorpene-class submarine and vehicle controlled remotely underwater, which was operated by Navy Royal, was carried out all night.
He said the superior interoperability level was displayed during exercises reflecting the standard of professionalism and the preparedness of the two navies.
“This also reflects the level of trust and high understanding that has been built for years,” the official said.
