New Delhi: India explores the choice to hire a rented aircraft to evacuate more Indians from Afghanistan, said the source on Tuesday because the situation continues to grow rapidly in the country served by the Taliban.
Previously on that day, the Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster with 120 people, including the Ambassador staff and Indian Embassy, landed at the Airbase of Jamnagar from Afghanistan.
The two IAF transport aircraft then landed at Hindan Airbase in Ghaziabad with people evacuated from Kabul to Jamnagar.
The IAF has sent additional Super C-130J comma planes to Jamnagar to bring passengers to Delhi.
The source said that for evacuation, India parked C-17 in Ayni air base in Tajikistan because there was a large arc at Kabul airport in Afghanistan.
Indian aircraft are ready for standby in Ayni Air Base and C-17 flying to Kabul when cleaned by the US that controls Kabul airport, said the source.
The Taliban entered Kabul on Sunday and took control of the Presidential Palace.
Air India flights had previously brought 129 passengers from Kabul to Delhi.
India has published travel advisors and periodic security for all Indian citizens in Afghanistan, given the deteriorating security situation there.
