2012, London ParalympicsGirisha Nagarajegowda: Silverthe Mealist India in the London Edition of the Games, Nagarajegowda won silver in a men’s high leap with a leap of 1.74 meters.
With that achievement, Nagarajegowda, who has a disturbance in his left leg, became the first Indian to win a medal at the event.

Mariyappan ThangaveLu: Goldthangavelu bagged gold at a high jump in the Rio game by cleaning 1.89m.
He is one of three gold medal paralympians in this country.
Coming from the Salem district in Tamil Nadu, his brilliant effort saw him eliminated Asian records before.
ThangaveLu, who suffered permanent disability at the age of five when a bus destroyed his right foot under the knee, he would defend his gold in the Tokyo match.
Deepa Malik- Silvermalik became the first woman from India to win a Paralympic Medal when she won silver on a shooting event in Rio with the best throws of 4.61 m.
Paraplegic, paralyzed from the waist down, Malik was sent to a wheelchair after being operated for the spinal tumor.
He currently serves as President of the Indian Paralympics Committee.
Varun Singh Bhati-Bronzebhati won a bronze medal in a high leap in the Rio game, accompanying compatriot Mariyappan ThangaveLu, who won gold, on the podium.
