New York: underlines that Afghanistan has seen a lot of bloodshed and violence in recent years and desperately in need of assistance, India at the UN Security Council meeting, has said that New Delhi is once again ready to provide urgent humanitarian assistance from food consisting of food.

“More than half of the Afghan populations face a crisis at the level of acute emergency food insecurity, and urgent humanitarian assistance is needed to meet the needs of the people’s basic food,” the Indian Ambassador to the United Nations Tirumu on Wednesday (local time) during the UNSC meeting in Afghanistan.
Emphasizing that India has supported the call of the international community that access to humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan must be directly and without obstacles, said Tirumuti, humanitarian assistance must be non-discriminatory and can be accessed by all, ethnic or political beliefs.
“Help must achieve the most vulnerable first, including women, children and minorities,” he said.
Ambassadors call the community and international countries in the region to gather, increase above partisan’s interests.
“India is willing to coordinate with other stakeholders to work to allow the provision of assistance that is very much needed for the Afghan people,” he said.
Highlighting that over the past two decades, India has contributed significantly to the development of Afghanistan, Tirumuti said: “Even when we speak, India continues to provide education scholarships to thousands of Afghan men and women to continue their education in India.”
